FedRAMP Joint Authorization Board (JAB) Prioritizes Sumo Logic for P-ATO

The tectonic shift happening within the public sector is seeing more and more federal organizations transitioning from legacy, on-premises systems to more scalable and secure cloud-based architectures. Sumo Logic’s cloud-first approach is a perfect fit for this so we’re excited to announce Sumo Logic has been prioritized by FedRAMP to work with the Joint Authorization Board (JAB) to achieve a Provisional Authority to Operate (P-ATO). We also achieved a FedRAMP Ready designation in May 2019, a designation which is intended to demonstrate a CSP's ability to complete the full FedRAMP authorization process for our public cloud moderate impact-level Continuous Intelligence Platform.

The JAB authorizes a limited number of cloud service offerings each year, maintaining a high standard and measuring selections based on key criteria. In choosing Sumo Logic for this competitive JAB prioritization, the FedRAMP Program Management Office (PMO) acknowledged high demand for Sumo Logic’s cloud-native security intelligence solution across the federal government. It also affirms Sumo Logic’s commitment to strong security by demonstrating its readiness for the JAB Authorization process.

We look forward to working with the JAB and the FedRAMP PMO to rapidly conclude the evaluation process and achieve a JAB P-ATO. For more information on how we help securely monitor and troubleshoot IT, click here.
